Queen Regnant Delilah Silvrey- The current ruling queen of Valoria. Due to a series of very unfortunate accidents, Delilah is highly paranoid. as a teen, her older sister, dierdre, was murdered. just years later, her mother died, leaving her on the throne at 18. Delilah was widowed twice and was with both husbands when they passed away. Her first husband and Daphne's father, Cassian Vessard, died from the same illness affecting his daughter. Pressured to remarry and sire another heir, delilah remarried just out of greiving to a galweiran governor, felix atticus, dahlia's father. They were married for 11 years before their carriage was attacked on a diplomatic trip to dahlmar. Delilah was blinded in her right eye but felix lost his life. Distraught, Delilah closed the palace to outsiders and raised her daughters in seclusion from that point on.
Former King Cassian Vessard-Silvrey- Queen Delilah's first husband and Daphne's father. He died from illness at 30 years old. He is the brother of queen cassandra of dahlmar and they were extremely close as children being so close in age. queen Delilah viewed him as the love of her life and was at his bedside for weeks non-stop prior to his death.
Former king felix atticus- Queen Delilah's second husband, Dahlia's father and a former governor of Galweira. Felix was a very confident man, something that drew Queen Delilah to him. He was an examplary father to both Dahlia and Daphne. He was married to Queen Delilah until his death, assissinated in a staged carriage accident as he protected his wife.
Princess Daphne Silvrey- Sickly oldest daughter of the valorian royal family. She was born healthy however, began to deteriorate as a toddler. She walks with a cane and occasionally uses a walker or rolling chair on her bad days. Her lady-in-waiting and nurse, Elsie, attends classes at Ruxherd Conservatory with the princess to ensure her safety.
Captain Kyren Lane- Head of the Valorian Royal Guard. He is a close friend and advisor to queen delilah. He is one of the only people trusted by the queen following felix's death and constantly catches dahlia sneaking out.
Aurelia & Aurora Ruxherd- cousins and ladies-in-waiting to Princess Dahlia. As they are related to the royal family, they are given more freedom than most attendants. Aurelia took up sewing as a child and now provides most of dahlia's wardrobe. Aurora helps in the sewing process however, she is more passionate about designing them herself. since these are hefty tasks, they are often not with princess Dahlia, just as she prefers.
Elsie Amoran- Lady-in-waiting and nurse to princess daphne. They are long-time friends and are often found together at all times, except bedtime.

King Regnant Cyrus Dullett- The current ruling king of Dahlmar. He is often traveling his kingdom, preffering to see things personally rather than imagine them after a report. He is much more considerate of his subjects and is actively making changes to the kingdom to better his citizen's lives, the direct opposite of his father yet more like the other kingdoms of vehmir.
Queen Cassandra Vessard-Dullett- The current ruling queen of Dahlmar. Cassandra invites the valorian heir, dahlia, to attend her court study term in dahlmar under her direction. She is exceedingly compassionate and likes to speak indirectly, causing minor confusions often.
Duke Cedric Charmont- Bastard Son of the previous king, Brother to the current king. he's deeply untrusting and cautious of outsiders. Duke Charmont is also commander of the royal army and is frequently found supervising and correcting soldiers out in the training grounds.
Duchess Sabine Charmont- Solemn and Mute wife of duke charmont. She is rarely seen in public unless called upon, it is thought that she has some kind of unknown illness. She covers her face with a black veil at all times.
Eirdis Caranole- The Dullett Royal Tutor. She is currently only instructing princess estelle as Prince Silas has surpassed her knowledge. She is warm and inviting and often provides snacks to those willing to listen intently to her lessons.
Elowyn Caranole- Daughter of the royal tutor and lady-in-waiting to princess estelle. She often sits in on lessons with the princess to spend time with her mom.
The Colfields
Claudius- A member of the king's personal guard and head of his family.
Cornelia- Claudius' younger wife. she was arranged into a marriage with claudius although she doesn't mind much, she just loves her kids very much.
Marcus- Oldest Colfied Child. Marcus is a strategist for the royal army, currently working in tandem with the older strategist before his retirement.
Cato- Second son of colfield family. Cato worked his way up the soldier career with oleander charmont and they were both promoted to the king's personal guard upon the death of two previous soldiers.
Junia- Oldest daughter of colfield family. she works as an archivist in the royal archives although she mostly works the library desk due to seniority. She is childhood friends with the charmonts and has a romantic relationship with carissa charmont.
Lucilla- The baby of the colfield family. Lucilla was a sickly baby and is extremely close with her mother. they are often found together, lucilla assisting her mother where she can.

He is 26 throughout the story.Lee is very charming but gets flustered easily. He'd "harmlessly" flirt with the ladies in the castle but cannot take any flirting back without having to hide his face. He tends to appear unserious but due to extensive training from his father, he is actually hyper aware of his surroundings at all times and it helps him relax more than others. He can typically remain calm in situations where no one he cares about is in direct danger.He has a scar on the left side of his face, starting in his hair line and ending below his jaw. He has had this scar since he was 10 years old so it has long-since healed however, it does appear quite pink and sunken in. When Cedric told Carissa she couldn't be a soldier, King Cyrus overuled him and Carissa became the first female soldier. As a result of this, Oleander was also forced to join the royal army instead of attending the academy he was previously enrolled in.Carissa became good friends with Junia Colfield as a child which eventually grew to lovers. She is extremely stubborn and down-right rude most times, but not to Junia. As Carissa got older, she learned to not oppose her father (after she witnesses him do something) and she became a pawn of her father to be spared from his anger. By the end of the story, she has had enough of his manipulation and greed that she breaks free of his hold at the cost of her looks (aka the
fire reference above).Carissa has an athletic body type as she is a sword wielder. She has a specific sword (pictured) called Dawnspike, originally for her brother but he refused it. Carissa has dark brown hair and green eyes with freckles on her cheeks and shoulders. At the end of the story, she has a bad burn scar across the left side of her face (her left) and prefers her hair down to help cover it. However, she is not ashamed or disgusted by her scar because she knew it was the price for her freedom.

He wears his hair in a side ponytail most of the time. His hair is naturally straight but he wears curlers at night.
